At Utica Energy our mission is to efficiently produce bio-based fuels and high quality feed products while strengthening the agricultural community and helping America achieve energy independence.
Commissioned in April of 2003, Utica Energy, LLC was founded by a group of five Wisconsin businessmen and became the 73rd ethanol plant operating in the U.S. The plant, located in the Town of Utica just west of Oshkosh, Wisconsin on State Road 91, was built by Agra Construction, and took ten months to complete, with construction beginning in July of 2002. The plant utilizes a high efficiency design from Delta-T Corp. of Williamsburg, Virginia.
With an expansion in November of 2004, completed by CR Meyer, Utica currently produces 52 million gallons of ethanol fuel per year. The site also features a 250/ton per day Saloff liquid CO2 plant which assists in reducing the plants CO2 emissions while creating another high quality co-product. Utica Energy also operates a drying facility located in Pickett, approximately 7 miles away from the ethanol plant. The drying facility converts wet distiller's grains into dry form and is shipped to customers around the state, country, and world. Here are a few other interesting facts:
Utica Energy is a proud producer of renewable fuels with new and exciting ventures always on the horizon. We are constantly striving to produce high quality, reliable fuels which provide a boost to the local agricultural community and reduce America's dependence on foreign fuel.
